The Humanities PhD Program draws on the expertise and interdisciplinary scope of outstanding scholars and artists from across Concordia’s faculties of Arts & Science and Fine Arts. Faculty members from a range of departments serve on the Humanities Program Committee (HPC), and any full-time Concordia faculty member in the Humanities, Social Sciences, or Fine Arts holding a doctorate is entitled to supervise students in the program (see current list of Associated Faculty). Arrangements can also be made to enable full-time faculty members with an MFA degree to serve on students’ advisory committees. When warranted, a faculty member from another university can also serve as a student’s Minor field advisor.
